JOHN SHARP

John Sharp was raised on a 1300 acre wheat farm in Walla Walla County. He graduated from Washington State University in l963, with a Bachelor's Degree in Agribusiness Management. After he received his Bachelor's Degree, he was employed with Western Farmers Co-operative for one and one-half years. In 1965, he left Western Farmers Co-operative for a position with Farmers Home Administration of the USDA and was promoted to County Supervisor in l967. In 1970, John left Farmers Home Administration and accepted a position with the Seafirst Bank Trust Department. John's responsibilities included trust administration, probate, and real estate management until 1981 when he became a full-time Farm Manager for all of the trust properties. He received his Certified Property Manager Designation (CPM) from the Institute of Real Estate Management in l975.

1993-Present Formed Sharp & Hatley, Inc. for the purpose of providing Professional Farm Management, Appraisal & Consulting Services in Washington State. Portfolio consists of farms in Washington, Idaho, Oregon and Montana.

1980-1993 Seattle First National Bank Investment Management & Trust Services Department, Assistant Vice President and Agricultural Investment Officer responsible for the complete farm management and administration of 135 Eastern Washington farm properties. Provided assistance to other administrators on all sales valuations and all leasing on residential and commercial accounts under their supervision.

1975-1980 Seattle First National Bank Trust Department, assistant Vice President and Manager Trust Real Estate. Supervised the management of all farm properties.

1970-1975 Seattle First National Bank Trust Department, Assistant Vice President and Trust Officer, responsible for the administration of approximately 200 trust accounts.

1965-1970 Farmers Home Administration USDA, County Supervisor in Mount Vernon, Washington

1963-1965 Western Farmers Association, Assistant Manager in Auburn and Enumclaw, Washington
